Can you believe 2017 is almost over? What an incredible year it's been! We've built a whole new bridal prep pad, doubled our guest accommodation, launched our new website and hosted tonnes of beautiful and unique weddings and events... It really has been a pretty special one.
We thought we'd take this quiet time before Christmas and New Year to reflect and chat through our year. So here we are with a small selection of Team E's 2017 highlights.
Jewish Blessing with a Family Singalong
Beth's highlight of 2017 was Katie and Nick’s wedding.
"I loved their Jewish blessing and the way they incorporated their family into the day. Nick’s siblings singing in the hall was truly breathtaking, the way their voices filled the room gave me goosebumps!"
Party at the Wedding Table
One of Kat's highlights of this year had to be the wedding of Kerstie-Ann and Richard;
"They had the amazing idea of having an entertainer called Howard Wing look after their guests throughout the drinks reception and wedding breakfast, and their meal was just one big party. He had people up and dancing around, doing the conga and singing along with him throughout and it really set a great vibe for the rest of the evening. It was already a really beautiful day, which was made even better by Howard!”
Hindu Wedding Weekend
Leesa says one of her fondest memories of 2017 was Aniket and Russell’s wedding weekend;
"It was one of the nicest weddings ever and I especially loved the Hindu blessing, it was deeply moving and I was quite literally in tears!
The speeches around the fire pit at the end of the evening were one of the nicest moments, followed by a fabulous display of fireworks."
Sparkles and Sequin Wedding
Rachel says her highlight of 2017 has to be Beth and Sam’s fun, 'sequin and sparkles' wedding;
"All the guests wore their best sequins and sparkles and the bridesmaids were armed with little bags of glitter to top everyone up during the day! It was such a fun and different wedding and truly reflected Beth and Sam’s sense of fun and their love of festivals.
The best part of their day for me was when they went to exit the ceremony and the Brass Funky’s band played them out to ‘I love you baby’... It immediately got the party started!! We were all beaming from ear to ear.”
A Wedding with Dohl Drummers
Louise says her favourite bit of 2017 was Simran and Dominic’s wedding;
"They had the dohl drummers playing whilst everyone walked along a candlelit path. In the evening they topped this off with an incredible light show projected onto the side of the house. It was simply breathtaking.”
We hope you had a wonderful 2017 and we cannot wait to see what 2018 is going to bring... We have a feeling it's going to be epic!
Lots of Love,
