Team E as we fondly call them here at Elmore Court, are our team of event managers. We thought we'd get to know them a little better and share with you some of their in depth wedding knowledge. With hundreds of weddings under their belts, there's not much this dynamic team hasn't seen.

A year ahead of your Elmore wedding day you will be introduced to your personal event manager, who hold your hand through all your planning and be there on the day to ensure everything runs like clockwork. So without further ado let's introduce you to (from left to right in the picture); Lily, Esther, Katrina, Alice and Sophie.

Katrina (front centre)

Katrina or Kat as she's known, heads up Team E as Head of Hospitality here at Elmore Court. She's worked here for the last nine years and has looked after more than 350 couples on their wedding day. She's the biggest party animal of the team, and by her own admission probably the biggest liability on a night out!

Lily (back left)

Q: Why did you become an event manager?

A: I have always loved the idea of working in weddings and live local to the Court. I would drive past and wonder what goes on behind the scenes here, and it feels so special to now be a part of the magic!

Q: What is the best wedding advice you have heard or given?

A: Make sure to factor in a few moments throughout the day for you to take everything in. You have planned this for so long, so make sure to appreciate it!

Q: Best music to walk down the aisle to?

A: I would always recommend a song that is sentimental to the both of you! It is always really lovely to have live music, and for the special song to have a little bit of a build up before you make your entrance into the hall.

Q: Favourite part of a wedding?

A: My favourite part of the day is definitely first look! It is so lovely to see everything you have envisioned come together!

Q: What makes an Elmore Court wedding so special?

A: Elmore has such a special feel to it, and it is always filled with so much fun and love - the perfect place for your big day!

Q: What tune always gets you up on the dance floor?

A: Abba - Gimme Gimme Gimme

Esther (second from left)

Q: Why did you become an event manager?

A: My first ever Saturday job was in a florist. I used to work on the front desk and I always used to try and listen in to the wedding consultations and meetings - I just thought they were so exciting! I decided then that I wanted to work in weddings in some way.

Q: What is the best wedding advice you have heard or given?

A: Be present for the whole day and take in every moment. Leave all the details and coordinating to us and your suppliers and enjoy having all your loved ones under one roof celebrating you two!

Q: Best music to walk down the aisle to?

A: I love a string cover of a pop song. Anything slowed down and played by a string quartet is great for heading down the aisle, and bonus points for being the bride or groom’s favorite song!

Q: Favourite part of a wedding?

A: The first dance! It’s such a lovely moment for the Bride and Groom and it also means the party is about to start!

Q: What makes an Elmore Court wedding so special?

A: Team E! Every person that works here at Elmore makes such an impact on the wedding day, and you can really feel the energy and love that everyone puts into making every single wedding the best day ever.

Q: Track that gets you up on the dance floor?

A: Unwritten - Natasha Bedingfield

Alice (second from right)

Q: Why did you become an event manager?

A: I’ve been working in events since I was at school, but it had always been a dream of mine to work in weddings! I then went on to study event management at university, and haven’t looked back since. There is something really special about seeing the months (and years!) of planning come to life in one incredible day. It will always feel like such a privilege to be a part of it all.

Q: What is the best wedding advice you have heard or given?

A: It sounds obvious, but honestly the best advice is just don’t stress! Things might not always go exactly to plan, but that’s what we’re here for. We’ll be behind the scenes, fighting any fires so you don’t have to worry about a thing. No one will notice if a candle is out of place or if the flowers are a slightly different colour. What they’ll remember is the love and the amazing time they had. So just relax, be present, and soak it all in.

Q: Best music to walk down the aisle to?

A: Honestly, whatever floats your boat! You have total control to make it something really personal to you two. It could be an acoustic version of your favourite song or a full-blown gospel choir, but whatever it is, it should be something that feels right for you. And if it’s live music? Even better!

Q: Favourite part of a wedding?

A: That moment just at the end of the ceremony when the couple walks back down the aisle as newlyweds. Everyone’s cheering, the music is blaring and the nerves have disappeared. This part of the day genuinely still makes me emotional!

Q: What makes an Elmore Court wedding so special?

A: Team E of course! (And the Gillyflower - the sound & lighting system specifically!)

Q: What gets you up on the dance floor?

A: You Rock my World by Michael Jackson

Sophie (far right)

Q: Why did you become an event manager?

A: I’ve always loved weddings, my first Saturday job was working in a wedding dress shop which is where the magic really started for me. Helping people have the best day of their lives is so special!

Q: What is the best wedding advice you have heard or given?

A: Trust your wedding suppliers to do what they do best. This will alleviate any stress, and give them the freedom to bring their creativity to life. You have taken a lot of time and care in selecting your venue and suppliers, now it's time to let them shine, whilst you do nothing but enjoy the day!

Q: Best music to walk down the aisle to?

A: Something that means something to you and your partner. Also, make sure you build the suspense before your grand entrance! Bring the drama.

Q: Favourite part of a wedding?

A: When the couple make their entrance into the Gillyflower as the newlyweds, with by a really fun song that gets everyone singing and dancing! It's the moment that sets the tone for the evening and is always so much fun. Don’t make a beeline for your seats, make the most of the moment; go up and down the tables, and past all of your guests who will be whooping and swinging their napkins for you.

Q: What makes an Elmore Court wedding so special?

A: The Gillyflower. Moving from the main house over to the Gillyflower is the perfect transition for the evening, and it’s the perfect place to throw a fab party.

Q: What song gets you up on the dance floor?

A: Love at First Sight by Kylie Minogue
