Weddings are pretty fab, we're known well for them here! As we've been doing this for over 10 years, we know how overwhelming your wonderful day can be... from planning to walking down the aisle. Our incredible wedding coordinators have put the most helpful tips together to help you have the most amazing day!

So if you're planning your wedding at Elmore or anywhere else and are in need of some advice... we've got you covered!

Tips From The Lovely Lily

Choose a really fun song for your entrance into the Gilly!  It’s always so fun watching everyone waving their napkins and it is also your first time being announced as newlyweds! I would also recommend anything ABBA (especially Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!)

Factor in little moments for both of you to have some 1 - 1 time where you can really appreciate the day together! Things like seeing the gillyflower for a first look or having a few minutes together sat in the drawing room when all of the guests are heading round to the wedding breakfast are amazing ways to do this!

Alice's Amazing Advice

Embrace a little flexibility. While it's important to have everything planned out ahead of the day, don't forget to leave some room for a little spontaneity! It’s easy to get swept up in the details and things might not always go exactly as planned; it’s not always a bad thing. Sometimes surprises can crop up, but how you roll with these moments can make all the difference in keeping stress at bay. Trust in your plans and the team, and we’ll be here ready to help solve any problems and keep the day running smoothly.

Trust in your suppliers. You will have put a lot of time and effort into researching and choosing your suppliers for your big day. Once you've picked your dream team, trust in their expertise! Share your vision with them of course, but it can also be a good idea to let them add a little of their own creativity. Trusting your suppliers not only takes the pressure off you but also lets them get creative and add those extra special touches you might not have thought of; they’re dedicated to making your day as special as possible.

The Knowledgeable Kat's Tips

Keep your “formal photos” to a minimum or you’ll find yourself spending the whole of drinks reception having photos rather than enjoying your guests.

Brides. Have a killer pair of kicks to change into for the evening!

My best advice is to know and trust what you want and don’t be swayed by outside opinions. It is your day after all and you want it to be perfect.

The morning of the wedding can be so busy with excitement but it can also become quite overwhelming! So it’s important to take time in the morning for yourself to soak in the happiness, laughter and anticipation that you’re going to marry your best friend, which is the most incredible feeling!

Enchanting Esther's Advice

Enjoy the morning and the getting ready process! It is such a lovely time to spend with your bridal party, and your suppliers will be total pros! Trust your hair and makeup artists, photographer and coordinator - they will keep an eye on timings and make sure everything is happening as and when it should be. Just be in the moment with your closest friends, relax and enjoy your last morning as a Miss!

Think about the song you want after your first dance! Your first dance is a lovely moment that everyone will be gathered around to watch, and you will want your next song to be something that gets your guests off the edge of the dance floor and into the party! Have a chat with your band or DJ about what song will come next, to make sure you kick off your evening party exactly as you want to!
