Some of our favourite weddings of 2025
2025 has been a wonderful year at Elmore Court, filled with unforgettable celebrations.
As the year comes to a close, we asked our planning team to choose their favourite weddings from 2025 and share the moments, details and feelings that made these days so special to them (not an easy task!)
Thalia & Mike (By Esther)
One of my absolute favourite weddings of 2025 was Thalia & Mike’s November celebration.
From the very beginning, every decision was rooted in their love for each other and their guests, which made planning their day such a joy.
With the ceremony led by the amazing Trudi, Sorori Design on styling and an incredible supplier line-up - including Gary Nunn and Socials by Sassy capturing the day, everything came together beautifully, right down to Dough Wood Fired Pizza serving the evening food.
One moment I’ll never forget was their first dance, where they surprised everyone with an incredible Dirty Dancing-style lift. I even managed to capture it on one of their Polaroid cameras, which made the moment even more special for the couple.
They put such a fun, personal spin on traditions too. Instead of a wedding cake, they shared a giant tiramisu created by our chef Rich (their favourite dessert) turning a classic moment into something completely their own. They even had a dedicated “cake-cutting song” to kick-start the evening party, making it feel like a real highlight rather than a quick task.
The ultimate “this is why I do this” moment came later that night, when we surprised guests with a sparkler tunnel that led into a fireworks display. Watching Thalia and Mike stand together on the meadow, arms around each other as the fireworks lit up the sky, was incredibly moving and so special to be part of.
Their wedding was everything a celebration should be: full of love, fun and personality. From their celebrant-led ceremony to the tiramisu and dancing, every detail felt unmistakably them.
Emily & Jonny + Rita & Andy + Hester & Simon (By Sophie)
Choosing my favourites from 2025 was not easy, but Emily & Jonny, Rita & Andy and Hester & Simon stood out for me - each for completely different reasons.
They went for a statement lounge sofa area in front of the bar and dreamy draping around the disco-ball on the dance floor. Their day was stylish and full of love!
Rita & Andy brought pure energy from start to finish.
Their entrance into the Gillyflower set the tone for an unforgettable party and I loved how they elevated every moment - from a beautifully styled Welcome BBQ on Wednesday evening to Rita and her bridesmaids changing into mini dresses and re-entering the dance floor led by a sax player and bongos on the wedding night!
It was impossible not to feel the buzz.
Hester & Simon’s wedding was a dream.
They had an incredible team of suppliers and focused on what really matters, in my opinion: amazing food, flowing drinks and live music all day.
Their creative table layout in the Gillyflower gave the space a unique and modern feel. Watching them completely relax and trust their suppliers after months of planning was so rewarding.
These weddings have reminded me why I love what I do - they were full of personality and true celebrations of the people at the centre of them.
They’re the kind of days that leave you wishing you were a guest, and feeling incredibly lucky to be part of it all.
Alice & Ben + Jess & Blair (By Lily)
One of my standout weddings of 2025 has to be Alice & Ben’s, closely followed by Jess & Blair’s. Both celebrations were filled with unforgettable moments and personal touches that made them truly special.
Alice & Ben’s ceremony had the most heartfelt, funny readings and they even saved a baby announcement for their speeches.
Their coeliac-friendly menu, autumnal colour palette and book-themed table numbers made the day feel beautifully considered. Their first look in the Gillyflower was a real “this is why I do this” moment.
Jess & Blair’s wedding was equally magical, with an intimate micro-ceremony in the Walled Garden where Jess married in fluffy PJs surrounded only by their parents.
Their lilac and yellow spring palette, gorgeous hired napkins and live music created the most joyful atmosphere. They even held two ceremonies in one day!
Across all my favourites this year, I’ve loved seeing brides give speeches, couples play with cocktail moments (from espresso martini towers to renamed drinks), personalised touches like dog-themed signage and the energy that live music brings - something I’d include at every wedding if I could.
These weddings reminded me how important it is to keep guests together, create thoughtful moments and embrace fun, unique ideas.
I came home from each one on such a high, feeling so grateful to be part of days that feel so true to each couple.
