Niran & Ruby tied the knot on a Sunny day in July, with a bunch of colours vibrating The Court, gorgeous silks and an incredible party to celebrate the day! With 150 of their loved ones, this spectacular wedding is one to shout about and not one to forget!

There really is no party like an Elmore party and this wonderful day is a perfect example! If you're looking for some wedding inspiration to blow your guest's socks off... Read on!

Tell Us The Proposal Story!

We got engaged at a beautiful lake house on the Cotswolds water park. Ruby was downstairs making a cup of tea, and was reluctant to come upstairs after being asked to, multiple times by Niran. Only to find him waiting for her, with champagne on the upstairs balcony which over looked the lake. It wasn’t long before he got down on one knee, the sun was shining, it was a perfect moment that we will cherish forever.

Why Elmore Court?

We loved the feel of the house and The Gillyflower, it was stylish, had amazing backdrops for photographs and it also had a really fun and relaxed feel to it. We also had quite a large wedding, so it was perfect for fitting in all of our loved ones. We really wanted somewhere that close family and friends could stay overnight. The addition of the tree houses happened in perfect time for that.

How did you find the planning of your wedding?

It was quite fun, with a few moments of stress thrown in for good measure. I think having 2 years to plan helped relieve the stress- although we did feel impatient on the countdown to the wedding as we were so excited. Alex our wedding planner from Elmore was brilliant- she made us feel so relaxed about the whole thing and made the whole process seem less daunting and more fun. Her enthusiasm shone and we couldn’t have done it without her.

We loved your gorgeous gown how did you choose this look?

I went to tonnes of dress shops as I was being really indecisive about the style I wanted, however ended up going back to one of the first dresses that I tried on. It was definitely the dress that had the most emotional reaction from my family- so that’s always a good sign! It was from Halfpenny and the whole process there was so much fun! In the evening I opted for a lace dress from Nadine Merabi which was much more practical for dancing the night away.

On the morning of your wedding, how did you feel?

More chilled than the day before the wedding, just really excited. It helped us both being surrounded by big bridal/ groomsmen parties. Also our photographer Jessica Raphael, make-up artist Georgia Taylor Makeup and hair stylist Lauren Gosling Hair helped to make us feel at ease throughout the wedding morning chaos. Niran also had his suit maker Ian Ropes from Clements and Church, at the venue to dress the groomsmen party. They were all so fun yet professional and I regularly recommend them all, to newly engaged couples.

Tell us about the ceremony?

When we saw the magic that Jen from JenniBloomflowers had created for the first time, it took our breath away. I saw them before I saw Niran- he looked pretty good too! The ceremony was short and simple but also really lovely, it was everything we had wanted, and a memory that we will treasure forever.

Talk us through the drinks reception?

This part of the day feels like a whirlwind of champagne, cannepes and photographs. It was great to finally catch up with our guests. Make sure you have a playlist ready to go for this part of the day, unless you have a band/ musician playing. The photos on the east lawn are some of my favourites from the day, the garden and our guests looked absolutely stunning. The rain just about held out, until a major downpour which was timed perfectly for dinner in the Gillyflower.

What was your food of choice?

We went with external caterers, Niran’s family have a good relationship with Madhu’s Indian catering based out of Southall London. The menu choices were vast and the quality of the food wasnabsolutely outstanding. Everyone loved it.

What was your reaction to your reception at the Gillyflower?

Elation- our favourite band The Function Band played us in, all of guests were already partying away, many of them already standing on chairs so that paints a picture as to how the rest of the reception went! It looked incredible, the team at Elmore and our florist had worked so hard and it paid off, it looked so beautiful! We gave our florist Jen free rein with much of the table scape and I’m so glad that we did as she just knew exactly what would work to get the most out of the room. Abbie Worton did our wedding stationary which pulled the Looking back on photos the ceiling lights in the Gilly Flower look so beautiful on photos and videos.

First dance choice?

Beyoncé, Ruby is a big fan and the song love on top just felt totally right for us- The Function band started off with an acoustic cover and then transitioned into a more lively rendition.

What were your wedding highlights?

We both loved the ceremony and also our first look at the gillyflower, our band played Harry Styles- watermelon sugar high and we had a first look and dance at the Gillyflower. It had been totally transformed and looked magical.

Any tips for couples currently planning their wedding?

Try to be as organised with researching and booking things as you can, it’s really disappointing when you enquire with a supplier and they aren’t free. Don’t stress, all of your hard work will be worth it in the end. The cliche is totally right, it’s without a doubt the best day of your life!

And finally... Who helped bring your magical day to life?
