Why not make a weekend of it?

From the very beginning (yes really,back in 1794 Berkeley Guise built the existing dining room here in order to use the court as a proper party pad!) Elmore has been home to celebrations – parties full of glitz and glamour, Christmases with all the local children, occasions for family and friends to come together and fill the rooms with love and laughter.
There's so much fun to be had here, a single day just doesn’t seem long enough does it?

That's why we adore weekend long weddings; We love it when you and your guests can really settle in and make Elmore your home for a few days, and it’s a great way for two families to come together and really get to know each other before they become one.

11 Reasons Two Days is Better than One

7 ) Nightcaps in the Drawing Room;

You get not one but two evenings to snuggle by the fire and sip a nightcap before you retire to the comfort of your rooms

8) Choose both master suites!

You could choose to stay in the smoking room the night before your wedding and the master suite on the night of... Wake up the morning of your wedding in the big house itself ready to start the all important getting ready prep. No moving from one space to another – and we will even bring you breakfast in your room, so there’s no chance of you bumping into one another and not a pinch of bad luck in site.

9) Be a step ahead.

It’s hard to let go of the wedding baby you have been nurturing and organising for all those months, and sometimes we notice couples can't totally relax until they've seen the ‘finished result’- if you're here the day before your wedding date, it's often possible to set The Gillyflower up ready for the day itself ahead of time, so you can oversee those finishing touches and soak it all up for a whole day before you party in it.

10) Self catering.

Make yourself properly at home and get the guests kitchen stocked up for all to use. This lovely ‘hub’ really gets used over longer stays – keep it stocked with snacks to fuel guests over the duration of the wedding. You can also use the space to prep and serve dinner the night before if you want to properly settle in and host your own dinner party.
